You stay on traditional fincas in Santa Maria and Campanet, in picturesque surrounding in the tributary valley of the tramuntana mountains, far away from the highway of mass tourism - experience Majorca in its originality. One of the balearic islands of Spain. On this bike tour you discover the grand north and the centre of the island and majorca's peaceful side. Explore also the city of Palma and visit the cathedral. The advantages of this tour are the two Fincas where you will spend the night. So you only have to pack your luggage once during the tour. There is so much to discover and expierience - or just enjoy the bike rides and the stays at both Fincas with their amenities! A bike tour directly from the organizer!

TOURPROFILE: the stages are medium. You cycle on side roads, farm roads and tracks, alsways with as little traffic as possible.

You take the train to Palma and explore the city by bike and visit Palma's showpiece, the cathedral. Or linger on the beach at Playa de Palma. Then return by train to Santa Maria. You cycle the last strech to the Finca.

Sunday excursion into Majorca’s wine region (vineyards  have  existed  here  since  1229,  when  James  I  of  Aragon conquered  Majorca).  You  cycle  to Eugenia and enjoy the small side paths (camis)  with  the  typical  Majorcan  stone walls  between  the  grapevines,  olive groves  and  almond  trees  in  Algaida. Good  restaurants  invite  for  a  lunch break. The  return  journey  takes  you  through Sencelles to our departure point in Santa Maria.

Suitcases  are  packed  today  and  you cross the island from west to north at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains with its grey limestone. You reach the artist village Alaro and continue cycling to Campanet in the tributary valley of the Tramuntana Mountains;  the  finca  “Monnaber  Nou” from the twelfth century is located there. You will stay here for four days.

On  this  day  you  cycle  again  to  the  sea on the north coast of Majorca. Awaiting you is Pollença, a very typical Majorcan town  with  its  Clavary  hill  (365-step  stairway)  and  the  Roman  bridge.  In  Alcúdia, discover the Roman excavation site and end the tour in the biggest nature reserve,  S’Albufera,  before  returning  to the finca.

Today,  you  travel  by  bus  to  the  city  of pearls  –  Manacor.  The  return  journey is  lined  with  windmills.  The  tour  takes you  to  the  geographic  centre  of  the  island  in  Sineu,  with  its  market  which has  existed  since  the  Middle  Ages, and  through  Llubi,  where  the  capers  of  Majorca are grown.

The last day can be used for relaxing. Enjoy the wellness area, a massage or do a final bike tour.
